Linda's Sacramento Realtors

On March 11th, Hats & Taps returned for our own Linda 1's Realtors St. Patrick's Day luncheon. Performing for Linda's peers is always exciting and a bit nerve producing but we love doing this event. We missed our main picture taking comrades, Mary and Ruthie, but here is Linda in her Irish costume, looking lovely as usual.
And,... We appreciate the videos that were shared.
Still perfecting Carol's new numbers of Irish Washer Woman and
I'M Looking Over A Four Leaf Clover
We are already discussing next year's costume with glee.
Thank You Linda and Sacramento Realtors!

Applewood Care Center

Hats & Taps first show for the year was for Applewood Care Center on February 20th. We had a fabulous audience and a beautiful day. The wonderful windows made dancing a pleasure but picture taking a bit of a challenge as you can see.  We had a great time, however, and enjoyed being with Applewood.  Thanks so much for having us!
Our first set included "I Love You So", "Roxie" and
 "Boys From New York City".
Flirting in front are Mary and our leader Carol.
Getting into the swing is Carol, Marie and Lois
Linda 2, Mary, Linda 1 in back with Liz and Carol back in front.
Carolyn and Lois with Marie in back and the wonderful Live, Laugh, Love sign!
Getting ready in the changing room.
Our leader Carol with a merry Mary.
Our Tribute Trio included "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Star Spangled Spectacular" and Carol's "Armed Forces Medley".
For the first time we donned different costumes two by two...
...each representing the services to their specific music.
Mary in the middle cruising for the Coast Guard.
With all our many costumes, we were indeed colorful and full of prideful fun. Liz and Carol march for the Marine Corp.
The Glam Twins, Carolyn and Linda 1, look lovely in their Army outfits!
Catching a couple of us in unison is a treat.
Here we have Linda 2 and Marie representing the Navy.
Carolyn again and Lois flying for the Air Force.
Lois flying high and looking good!
Mary shows off her winning smile and fancy footwork.
Hoorah!
Thanks again Applewood. We look forward to coming back anytime.

Winter BDays

Celebrating winter Birthdays here is Carol, Rhoda, & Connie.
In January we worked hard to reprise old numbers and learn newly choreographed, by Carol, dances.  Ditto for February.  Life's cobwebs clutter our memories as we dance around each others idiosyncrasies and eventually form a cohesive group known as Hats & Taps.
Mary's joins in here too as her birthday was only 2 days away.
Carol 2 was able to join us but we missed Linda 1.
Mary and Marie switch places for a group pic.
  Another fun birthday celebration.
We'll catch you at the end of the month for our first show of 2015.

Post Season Party

Tap season over, Hats & Taps has a final party to enjoy the Christmas spirit and catch up with each other in fun fashion.  We each bring goodies to eat and have a white elephant gift exchange. Already full of Holiday Happiness, these gals just don't quit. They continue to give of themselves and share the joy of the season.
Marie hosted this year and requested the gals to bring a favorite costume for pictures.  Eric captured the group here with a wonderful shot!  Rhoda was not up for picture taking this day and Linda 2 could not make it but we celebrated for all.
But first, .... Getting ready for lunch-ing.
A tasty feast with more munchies than we can manage.
Carol presents Marie with a "Best in Show" costume award.
Seems Hats & Taps got several compliments on their blue cape costume.
Mary draws first and really likes her Santa...
garbage bag and all.
Oh no, Connie, our Constance Christmas clepto, steels Santa.
Mary scores a cool hat and scarf for her second pic.
Liz and Lois watch the fighting and take notes.
Rhoda likes her dishes and....
threatens to beat off any attempts at stealing with her spatula.
Carolyn cradles her tres chic catch.
Lois chooses....
and comes up with earrings that look like a match to her wonderful necklace.
  Carolyn and Linda look on.
Linda 1 gets 2 wine glasses, immediately sharing one with good friend Carolyn, then unwraps more wine related gifties.
Liz shows off her earrings and necklace made of potatoes from Alaska.
Liz, Marie and Lois pose for a pic.
Marie shows off her scarf with sparkly pin and Christmas mug too.
Mary poses with Carol.
Carol tries on her matching earrings and necklace that must have been made for her sweater.
Marie is clueless to the rules of this game but Linda 1 explains Mary gets one more chance.  She steals back her Santa and Connie gets the cool cap with scarf.
Both end up happy with the exchange.
One last gift for Carol from the whole group. Lois can't help herself helping.
A good laugh and great fun.
Carol holds her gift of a picture of all ten Hats & Taps with Ruthie.
We had a wonderful time.  Happy Holidays and cheers to a Happy New Year to all!  We will rest up and come back after the holidays raring to go with new numbers, reprisals we adore and happy hearts waiting to share some more.
