Hats & Taps celebrated another 80th milestone on November 29th.
Our wonderful dance teacher, leader, choreographer and friend turned 80 this month. We presented Carol with a quilt made of love, and pieces from many of our costumes. Warm memories are tied tightly into this gift accompanied by a great deal of gratitude.
Other birthday honorees were Marie, Linda 1 and Carol 2 in back with Lois and Carol in front.
Mary, Connie, Carolyn, Liz and Linda 2 joined in the festivities as well of course and we ate and opened cards and laughed....and ate. Mary made a delicious chicken chile.
The glam twins having so much fun, it's fuzzy.
Then we set the cake on fire!
The candle did not cooperate at first.
But we made the most of it and did not burn down the house.
We had collected writings, poems and pictures from many of Carol's students and put them into a memory binder.
So many memories!
All of us like to travel down memory tap lane!
Carol opening the crazy quilt box.
Carol cuddling the comfort kitty that was copped from her cozy tap room unnoticed.
Another great birthday bash and especially honoring our favorite teacher.
May comfort kitty look after all of us!
Comfort kitty was conceived by Carol as a wonderful way to pass on our warm wishes to anyone who was having hard times. Kitty has been around and still symbolizes our caring for each other.
